Overview:

This VCO finds its use in 5GHz applications.
It can also be used for the 802.11b/g
applications using external dividers.

6 sub-bands covering the total range

Fully integrated oscillator and output buffer

The output signal is buffered by an amplifier

This VCO operates over a 1.62V to 1.98V supply voltage range

On-chip tank circuit

Internally matched output buffer amplifier

Low-current, shut-down mode

Frequency tuning range: 4.612 GHz – 4.748 GHz; 4.675 GHz – 4.818 GHz; 4.744 GHz - 4.893 GHz; 4.838 GHz – 4.998 GHz; 4.938 GHz – 5.070 GHz; 5.023 GHz - 5.204 GHz

The bias setting of ON5100 is done through switches and that of ON5101 done through fuses
