The C80186EC is the most complex member of Evatronix 80186 product family. It is a single-chip, high performance 16-bit microcontroller IP core designed to be a pin replacement of the Intel® 80c186ec chip.
This successful architecture can be applied in all Systems-on-Chips (SoCs) that require higher performance than the one offered by 8-bit designs. The IP core implements the same widely known instruction set architecture as the 80c86 or 80c186 devices, together with an extended version of peripherals set offered by the 80c186ec microcontroller.
The C80186EC core has been enhanced by additional pins to facilitate implementation of the exact 80c186ec pin replacement design into any technology.
