Autotask Becomes First IT Service Management Platform to Directly Integrate With LabTech MSP
Automatic Data Synchronization Makes Information Sharing Easier, Frees Autotask Customers to Focus on Clients' Remote Network Needs
EAST GREENBUSH, NY--(Marketwire - October 13, 2009) - Autotask Corporation announced today that Autotask's hosted IT business management platform is now fully integrated with LabTech MSP, LabTech Software's remote monitoring and management (RMM) solution.
As a result of the integration, IT service providers can now manage client networks in real-time by accessing the LabTech solution directly from inside Autotask. And, because the LabTech MSP integration taps into the AutotaskExtend™ web services API, data entered into either system is automatically updated and shared, so technicians and support personnel can focus on serving the network needs of their customers.
"LabTech shares our philosophy for developing software as a service, making it easier to provide and provision managed services and join forces with smart partners," says Autotask CEO Bob Godgart. "It's especially easy for companies like LabTech to leverage the benefits of our open API platform and deliver the industry's best IT business management functionality directly to customers, including service ticketing, superior data management tools and SLA management."
An agent-driven module deployed at customer sites worldwide, LabTech MSP handles ticketing, timekeeping and IT asset management as well as RMM. Like Autotask, it can be accessed through any PC or mobile device with an internet connection -- no VPN or router configuration required. LabTech MSP also can perform tasks when offline, including direct application management, and can connect to systems without remote access through other systems at the same site. Plus, LabTech offers more than 150 standard commands, so Autotask users can create and share scripts via Autotask's online CommunITy or LabTech's.
LabTech Integration with Autotask
LabTech has added a plug-in user interface that lets Autotask users install an application on their LabTech server for two-way data synchronization. Automated tools include:
-- Sync Clients To Accounts - Automatically creates or updates LabTech clients in Autotask. -- Sync Contacts - Automatically creates or edits LabTech contacts in Autotask. -- Sync Tickets - LabTech service tickets generate a corresponding ticket in Autotask. When the ticket is completed, the information updates in both systems. -- Sync Computers - IT asset information with a LabTech ID is automatically created or updated in Autotask every 12 hours. (Manual updates are also available.)
The integration with Autotask is exactly what service providers need to run their businesses more efficiently, according to Matthew Nachtrab, LabTech's CEO:
"Businesses everywhere are attempting to do more with fewer resources, it's critical that service providers make the most of their technicians' time and optimize billable hours where possible," says Nachtrab. "This integration between Autotask and LabTech allows service providers to have easy access to accurate information, be proactive, and ensure that their clients' IT systems are functioning properly and, most importantly, be efficient and profitable."
