The Free Mindi Online and Interactive Environment Supports Customers From Design Requirements to Working Prototype
PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - February 22, 2010) - Transim Technology Corporation, the leading provider of online design and support solutions for the semiconductor industry, today announced the new release of a new design solution for a digitally controlled PFC, expanding Microchip Technology's Mindi™ online design and simulation environment.
Today, power supply designers must create power conversion products that offer greater efficiency, higher power density, higher reliability, advanced communications and advanced control features. And as always these products need to be developed and marketed quickly and at lower costs. Microchip offers a number of development boards and advanced development tools which provide an easy and economical way to evaluate intelligent power supply solutions.
The new release of the Mindi tool enables online and interactive design and simulation of Microchip's comprehensive set of Intelligent Power Supply solutions, including the digital power PFC board environment. The Mindi tool is an online environment that aids in the design and analysis of various analog and digital circuits used in power management and other applications. This interactive design environment enables designers to quickly optimize controller settings, automatically generate code, test and verify the solution using Transim's proprietary WebSIM remote simulation capability and specify passive components for a variety of operating conditions. Circuits developed using the Mindi online design environment can be downloaded to a personal computer (PC) or workstation. Additionally, users can download the ready to compile project file for the MPLAB® IDE, Microchip's free, integrated development environment for the design of embedded applications employing Microchip's 8-, 16- and 32-bit PIC® microcontrollers and dsPIC® digital signal controllers.
