Catena is a global design service and IP provider focusing on System and IC developments for various communication applications; e.g. WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, GPS, Glonass, FM Broadcast Tuners and Sensor Electronics. We have silicon proven system IP for multiple of these applications, which are currently in production by our customers in various connectivity combos.
Our developments are mainly one chip solutions including RF, Analog, Mixed Signal, DSP (own cores and tooling) and Embedded Software. Currently we are focusing on our next generation WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth (BT/BLE) System IP in 28nm CMOS.
Catena was founded in the Netherlands in 1986 and is employing 140 skilled engineers. We have design centers in the Netherlands, Sweden and in Austria. Our customers are both large multinational semiconductor companies and smaller high innovation companies, with whom we have established successful long term cooperation and increased customer revenues. We are working in customer's proprietary processes and with most large semiconductor foundries, e.g. TSMC, GLOBALFOUNDRIES and IBM.
The IP listed on Chipestimate.com is only a fraction of what we have available as state of the art IP. Please contact us with your request and we will let you know what Catena can do for your developments.
