Chip Estimate's InCyte(tm) Enterprise Receives DesignVision Award

System Used to Develop Chip Plans And Refine Plans Throughout IC Implementation Flows

Cupertino, Calif.- February 1, 2007 --Chip Estimate Corporation announced today that its InCyte Enterprise system has won the International Engineering Consortium's (IEC) DesignVision award in the System-Level Design Tools category.

The InCyte Enterprise system generates accurate chip estimates in seconds that are used to plan new chip projects and guide implementation decisions throughout classic EDA implementation flows. User input is combined with IP and technology macro-models to generate chip estimates within 95% of silicon. InCyte Enterprise estimates chip die size, power, leakage, yield, and cost and performs rapid "what if" and trade-off analysis. The system is used by leading semiconductor companies to refine chip plans and architectures and optimize design specifications to meet aggressive performance, size, power and cost goals. The combination of accuracy, ease of use and speed of iterations allows design teams to develop early specifications, and also offload back-end tools when considering various IP and design architecture tradeoffs.

"We are honored by this award, and proud of the recognition for the contributions InCyte Enterprise makes to IC design projects," said Adam Traidman, President of Chip Estimate, "The system is in direct response to the needs expressed by our customers, whose input and feedback directed the functionality of the system to improve design planning and optimization."

IEC Executive Vice President Roger Plummer stated, "Our DesignVision Awards honor those catalyzing positive change in high-technology, business, and academia, completely in line with the IEC's mission. We're pleased to give tribute to the innovators who have helped advance progress in electronic design."

The DesignVision Awards were presented at DesignCon on Tuesday, January 30, at the Santa Clara Convention Center (Santa Clara, Calif.). For more information about DesignCon, please visit www.designcon.com.

Chip Estimate at DesignCon
"ARC is pleased to join this new program, and through it to deliver greater visibility into the configurable processor technology solutions we offer to meet the needs of the advanced SoC design community," commented Karl Auker, Director, Strategic Alliances at ARC.

"IPextreme has joined the Chip Estimate community as the relationship enhances the visibility of the IP we offer, and allows chip planners to explore our IP in the context of their chip regardless of what EDA tools they ultimately will use," commented Trent Poltronetti, IPextreme VP of Marketing.

"The Prime IP Partner program gives the design planning community an easy way to explore Mentor IP in the context of their specific designs," stated Bill Martin, General Manager, Mentor Graphics Intellectual Property Division. "Our participation with Chip Estimate will help meet the needs of today's designers with Mentor's silicon-proven, ready-to-use standards-based IP solutions."

"Virage Logic is always looking for ways to streamline our customers' IP exploration and selection process," commented Tom Griffin, Senior Director, Business Development at Virage Logic. "ChipEstimate.com adds the ability to combine Virage Logic memories with foundation IP and predict chip size, power and leakage."
