Cadence SoC Realization
An SoC is typically defined as a configurable or programmable IC that includes at least one processor, interfaces to the outside world, a memory controller and differentiating custom logic. An increasing number of SoCs are multi-core devices that may also have on-chip memory, peripherals, and protocol interfaces. The rise of SoCs has also driven the rise of key IP subsystems; compute, interface and memory being the key ones. The analysis, sourcing, and integration of IP has become the major challenge of SoC Realization. The needs and challenges of the compute subsystems are well understood, and Cadence and its partners are collaborating to ensure that solutions are available to our customers. Building on 20 years of Design Services’ success in the interface IP segment, Cadence is dedicated to delivering the most advanced mixed-signal, standards-based IP to address the SoC market’s growing needs for high performance interface IP.
